Engine diagnostic codes

Not hard to check if you have a DVM and know how to read voltage with it.
IMO, Cycle Electric makes the best stators and regulators, I won't use anything else anymore.
BTW: you don't need to dismount the seat, the voltage regulator is mounted at the bottom of the frame down-tubes, behind the front tire.

Thank you all for all the advices!
So here's what happened:
I checked the current at the battery with bike off and it was 12.6V. Then I started the bike and pushed the engine hard and current never went higher than 13.9V
I tried to tighten cables that I could see and closed everything. Cleaned the errors signals and went for a long ride today with speeding a higher than 75mph, and being stuck in traffic with 79F in first gear... Check engine light never showed. So maybe it was only a ground cable not tightned..
But so far all is good!! (Until it starts again???)
Thanks guys! I really appreciate!

Hello again,
Seems like the codes came back... I knew it was too easy
the Battery still tests at 12.6 when idle and 13.9V when rolling the throttle (hard as hell). It could definitely be the ground cable that is not tightened but I don't even know where to start to find which cable is loose. Do you have any idea on how to proceed?
Thanks

So, to add to my problems, a very loud ticking starts after the bike gets heated a bit. It seems coming from the primary chain area. It gets louder the longer I ride. So I decided to take the bike to a mechanic (in Chicago). So took it to the "best" guy according to yelp. Unfortunately the guy sold his shop to someone else but I was there and left the bike.. in 4 days he calls me back saying that the bike is to new for him and would need a computer to check it.. and gave me back my bike.. He found that the battery was loose( the whole) battery and strapped it to the frame. So far no more codes but again it is a rainy cold day.
The second best guy in Chicago said that he services Harley, but if I bring the bike today I will have it back in 3weeks if all is simple otherwise may take more time.. this is Chicago.. in a month the season will be half past over.. and he charges 120$/hour...
I found a HD dealer who said that most of the symptoms are probably fixed by the 10k maintenance, since it was not done on my bike (I bought it at 12k mile and the previous owner did not care to do it). Ticking noise could be simply due to primary chain not adjusted.. So I will start from there (415$ still.. damn expensive.. )
Unless someone has a better idea!?

Did anyone ever figure this out? I have an 05 1200c and an imaginary code no one knows about pn32883-04a. I am not throwing money at it I will sell it and get a bigger better one but my daughter picked it out and it's my very first harley plus it's fun as hell to ride I'd hate to get rid of it but also would hate to have it just sit for sentimental reasons.

Just read the sticky

This has been sorted out many times. The "imaginary code" is the part number for the part being accessed. It is not an error. Go ride your bike and enjoy.

Hi. My ‘04 Fatboy just gave me a few codes that I’m not really sure how to interpret. Any help would be greatly appreciated. P0505, Loss of idle speed control. And P0562, Battery voltage low. I’ve had rough idle and stalls at idle after it warms up for weeks now. I started with the simple things and worked my way in. I’ve replaced the Air Idle Control Module, Throttle Positioning Sensor, cleaned the Throttle Body, Engine Temp Sensor, Battery, both Fuel Injectors, Stator, Voltage Regulator.Nothing helped. Took it to a Harley dealership, and when they took the seat off, they saw the Revtech Digital Fuel Optimizer that came on the bike when I bought it. They said that was the problem, they go bad. My bike won’t idle. It’s running rich, with dry black sooty spark plugs, you can smell the gas in the exhaust, and my fuel mileage has been cut in half. If I don’t keep a little throttle on it at a red light, it will just shut off like I hit the kill switch. I installed a new DFO, hoping that it would go back to normal. It still won’t idle, but it runs smoother now, my fuel mileage is back up, and I don’t smell gas in my exhaust anymore. But now I’m pulling these codes, where I didn’t have them before. I’m also getting a b1006, and b1007. I’m stumped. Anyone have an idea what wrong with my poor bike ?
