Default Clean up

Wanting to get my sportster (883) all cleaned up for summer. My front forks are stock. Not sure if that's aluminum or what kind of metal that is, but it's not chrome, just regular stock. They look all scratched/wheather/wind beaten. Is there any way I can get these all shined up again?? Thanks

Yes, if you're taking about the lower legs you can strip the clear coat off and polish the hell out of them, they'll look chrome when you're done.

I pulled the fork apart on mine and stripped & sanded the lower legs and trees. I'm going to shoot them gloss black.

If you're talking about the fork tubes being all scratched up, you can try polishing them, but they're not aluminum and may just need to be replaced.
