My '08 has been acting the same way. I haven't fired it up for about a month. It almost seems as though the security system has forgotten about the key fob. Battery is good. what I did was disable the security system with my number code, then it started right up. But prior to that it was blinking all over the place and the starter was not working.
I moved it around in the garage a little, and now it seems to be acting O.K. I'm about to dig into my winter project which will have me removing the rear fender, and electricals, so it will be a good chance to make sure everythings tight. If you figure anything else out let me know, I'm curious to know what's happening.

My 08 is doing it as well...rode it no more than 3 days earlier, go out n try to start it...nothing. moved it out of the garage n it fired right up. Went out again just yesterday, and the same exact thing! From other threads that I have read today I think its pretty common problem with 08's

HD 07 883 Low Not Starting problem
07 883Low is not starting up, When I turn it on the blinkers flash and it wouldn't start.
1st off the blinkers flashing is telling me that you have a security ISSUE.
If your sure that you have no DTC Fault codes stored on your speedodomer,
S = TSM/TSSM (Turn Signal/ Turn Signal Security Module)
Do you have your manual for your bike?
Your security system is not seeing your FOB, at what point is your flashers going off?

1 im sure there are no codes , i checked for them severaltimes it comes up none on each section
2 yes i have the manual ive been thru the troubleshooting procedures and didnt find anything that helped
3 signals flash as soon as i turn on the power either accessory or ignition on and turn on the on/off switch , but they will also flash if i move the bike around.
i actually have 2 fobs and i tried the second one also , with a new battery installed . same problem.

I have that problem a few times. The first time it was the starter relay, the second time it was the system relay. Both are in the fuse box. Both cost $8.00 a piece. The cheapest fix I've ever had on my sporty.
I would start there, then if that does not work. Check all your battery connections.

2007 Sportsters are well known for having chronic moisture/corrosion problems in the fuse-block/relay area.
Remove all of the fuses and relays. Clean the contacts on the fuses and relays, and then coat the contacts with dielectric grease and reinstall. You can find the dielectric grease at any auto parts store.
