Finally getting to ride
I've owned my bike since the end of December but seemed like every time I was off of work it was pouring down rain or something else going on to keep me from anything but once around the block. Well over the last two days i've managed to put about 70 miles on it. It's a 2012 sportster 1200c and I've gotta say I love it more each time I look at it/get on it. I even love the two tone red of it and I have never liked red vehicles.
A friend and myself decided to get some riding in before the bad weather hit the other day and it gave me a chance to get some first impressions of the bike. Yes the suspension is a little stiff on Louisiana roads (the fat tire up front does seem to absorb better than I thought), and lack of windshield can get a little rough at 65 but I think it adds to the fun and charm of the bike. I find it quite nimble overall and more than adequate at getting me in trouble if I'm not careful. And I did enjoy getting on a 4 lane hwy and my friend trying to ease away from me to 65 from 50 and without even downshifting I can wrap the throttle a second and shoot by him. He has a cbr 250 but that's besides the point lol. anyways first real ride down, loving the bike more and more each day and have not been disappointed or any buyers remorse in the slightest. Hoping to have lots of riding time ahead.

Now to just start setting aside for some samson's and a good air cleaner and power commander

Congrats on the new ride. And trust me I know the feeling. I just bought my bike in the beginning of January. I've only been able to ride a few times so far. Winters in Chicago can be pretty rough. Not exactly the best time to buy a bike around here haha. I've been watching the weather like a hawk hoping it'll warm up.
