Bolt on Block/Head Temp Gauge.
Anyone seen a bolt on Engine Block Temperature Gauge? I have searched and found some listed at about $400 bucks on some websites, but I am looking for a cheap model. Also seen and read about the ones for touring bikes that run through the ECM but will not fit a sporty.
I remember when I had my 57 Chevy pickup I had a bolt on temp gauge. It was like $50 or less. 2 inch round.
None of the auto parts sites have them, like I said way expensive on the cycle parts sites.

Try VDO gauges, I had one on my 1971 VW van. The sender is supposed to go on the spark plug, but I just JB welded to the head in an accessible spot. I'm sure you could bolt to the top engine mount and be fine. Here's a site, the gauge face comes in black too. You need the sender and wire to gauge. It works by thermocouple so I think the wiring has to be an exact length for proper resistance. only need to wire the lighting up.

You really want a relative reading anyway, hotter or cooler than normal, than need to have it at the point of highest temp.
