Default Mustang solo seat

I want to put a mustang solo seat on my 09 XL1200L. Does anyone know if its a direct replacement for the stock. Or do you have to drill new holes. Anyone that has one is it a huge difference from the stock? Thanks

They bolt right on, as long as you order the correct seat that fits your model bike. Yes, Mustang makes great seats, they vary in comfort based on which model you select. A skinny sleek looking seat, is typically not going to be as comfortable for all day riding as a thicker, wider, heavily padded model will. Their most comfortable seat for all day riding is the Vintage Wide Touring model IMO.

No drilling necessary. I have the two up Mustang Vintage and yes, I definitely feel the difference.

The mustang seat is so much more comfortable on long rides... 6'2", 260 lbs. I bought the correct seat and it fits perfectly.

Sorry. One more question after looking at them. Is it still a direct replacement if I go with the single seat and not the 2 up. Thanks again

When ordering the seat, be sure that you get one that fit's your model Sporty. The seats are slightly different sizes depending on your gas tank size. Sporties with a 4.5 gal tank use a seat with a shorter nose than seats made to fit with the 3.3 gallon tanks.
