Default replace all gaskets and o-rings whike im in there

I need to replace the rocker cover gaskets on the rear cylinder of my 08 xl1200c. I wanted the metal James gasket but JP cycles did not sell them individually just as a set. Now I have have a replacement for every gasket and I ring top end. Should I replace everything, front and back cylinder, while I'm at it? Or just replace the two main gaskets on the rear cylinder?

Seems like a no brainer to me, but wanted the opinion of some guys who have done it before before.

I responded to a similar question acouple of days ago, I replaced both gaskets on the rear but discovered that the rocker support box gasket did not need replaced. I didn't waste my time replacing the support box gasket on the front. I just replaced the rocker cover gasket on the front. I used this Cometic set from J&P, it was high in quality and so far no more leaking. You can see the leak where the gasket is leaning outward and there is black dirt inside the gasket.

Ill go with the if it aint broke dont fix it. I wouldnt tear apart anymore than was needed if it were me. You might run into another issue or spring up a leak you didnt have before if something doesn't seal up

I say, if you have the time, tools & talent - why not refresh everything. Watch you fix the rear & a few months later the front springs a leak...during peak riding season. You bought the kit - use 'er up!

Did you look on E Bay for the gasket you needed? Could have saved yourself some money perhaps,

Maybe someone here needs a gasket set for a cylinder on their bike.
