RE: ? about forcewinder
Here's what NRHS says about the oil breather lines:
Note 1: to maximize power and reduce carbon build-up, HurricaneFlow air cleaners do not route the blow-by from the breathers into the intake tract the way the stock air cleaner does. We recommend routing the head breather outlets to a small filter (to absorb the moisture component), or to a catch can.
And if I really cared:
Note 2: HurricaneFlow air cleaners are for off-highway, closed course competition use only and are not legal for sale or use on pollution controlled motor vehicles. (This is because of the rerouted breather lines.)

I think they look awsome. My draw back from not getting one was how well does it keep water out during rainy season? I ride all year long and needed something safe, to make sure water wasn't going into my engine.

As far the oil blow by that everyone is asking about. The way I see it is would you eat all the food off the floor that dropped while you were eating. I really don't want to use the carb to recycle crappy oil that is being spit out.

I dont know if there is any benefit... I would buy one or the other to replace my stock filter. I did a search on the forcewinder and saw this topic. I was just wonder why the setup of the forcewinder is bad according to slammed and XLOCD?

So my Screamin Eagle air filter dumps oil mist back into the carb as does the Forcewinder. Okay, but does the Forcewinder just give a little more knee room andopens a larger view of the engine but does not increase air flow more than the Screamin Eagle? Simply put, what benefit is there to swapping the Screamin Eagle for the Forcewinder?

It's not that it's bad. HD and Force Products apparantly thinks it's a great idea. I just prefer the oil blown out of the breathers having a path to escape below, rather than having it splatter on my jeans or the side of the motor. That's my main reason.

Imust have my dork hat on today... but I thought the whole reason to have the intake tubes on the (screamin eagle kit) routed back to the intake was to eliminate the blow-by.

On carbed car and truck engines there is installed at the factory a positive crankcase vent (PCV) which routes the oil blow by back into the carb. No one has had any issues with that. Before the PCV was used a pipe routed the oil blow by down under the vehicle and eventually itdripped onto the ground.
So I personally think how the oil blowby issue should be dealt with is up to your own personal preference. Also, for me,the upgrade costto the Forcewinder from my Screamin Eagle to gain a mere 2 horsepower just is not worth it. As stated this is only my opinion.

RE: ? about forcewinder
I know this is a burned up, and "dirty" topic, because of all the blow-by, but did I read the post correctly that the Forcewinder gave only a 2hp gain as opposed to the SE A/C? And, with that being said, I am thinking of going SE A/C with SE II Exhaust. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, while on this topic, I live in El Paso, and would it be wise to go to 2-into-1 for the low-end gain? I'm not one to run around at over 100MPH, though I have done it once.

They both dump oil back into the carb or mist it out on your pants leg. The forcewinder gives you a LOT more leg room that a stock
AC as mentioned you will need a support backet and also in your posted pics theres a part missing, the chrome U tubes
I have a mod in the under 50 bux thread on how to dump you oil out the rear of the bike, a good thing IMO
I hated to come home with that crap all over my jeans...
