Default CV carb tuning advice with New A/C

I just put a DK Customs Outlaw A/C and breather system on my Sporty. Looks awsome. Didn't get to tune the carb properly as it started rainin. I adjusted the fuel/air mix screw on the bottom of the carb all the way in then brought it back out about 2 1/8 turns. Am I in the ballpark? The bike is an 06 883L. I appreciate your input. Oh Yeah. I have a #44 idle and a #175 main in there now. Thanks !!!

if you have to go more than 3 turns out to make it run right @ idle its time for a NEW jet (Pilot jet...)

if it where mine... (i did this on my bike and others) i would get a http://www.cv-performance.com/tuners-kits/ and call it a day... they have a few jets that will get you really close along with a good NEEDLE and Emulsion tube... that works really well... dont drill the slide it is worthless..

a well adjusted CV carb jetted properly will be really close to EFI... at least mine is! Its takes a little bit to make it perfect but once you figure out what jets you need your golden unless you make another change to the A/C or pipes.

Yepper evO. That's what I did a little better than a year ago. She's got the jets for the Stage 1 exhaust and A/C. Just got to dial her in a bit. The CV Products tuner kit made her run like a new bike when I installed it. Got all the sneezing out of her -except when she's not warmed up.

That sounds about right to me. I just did the CV Performance Premium kit on mine. It came with a jetting table that seems inline with your current setup.

I added the EZ adjust screws for idle & mixture to make tuning on the go a bit easier. The Techs at the stealership really appreciated them as well. There will more than likely be some guys on the forums who will chime in about checking your plugs. I strongly urge that you do.

Regards,

Clayton

I turned the mix screw back in till it seated then back out about 2 1/8 ( roughly) turns as per the CV Performance paperwork I got with my tuner kit last year. Hit it right on the head. I appreciate everyone's input. Good to know I was in the ball park. Ol Sporty is runnin better than she ever has. Thanks again !!!
The sun is shinin and the thermometer just hit 60 degrees. Time for a ride !!!
