Default What carb should I get?

I have a sportster 1200, after 88 before 04 motor don't know the year as all the numbers were ground. When I got the bike it was missing a bunch of parts. So the bike is now registered to me and I'm in the process of getting all the missing parts and getting it running again. What carburetor would you guys recommend that I get?

Thanks for all the help you guys have given me on this forum as this is my first bike!

Not at all on topic but a bike missing parts and with the numbers ground off sounds pretty shady.

On topic, most will probably just say to get a CV carb.

A cv sporty carb is perfectly capable of supporting a 90 hp build as well as a stock build. I'vepI'veput 1000s of miles on with no issues. Even tho mikuni is my carb of choice

They are complete junk because even "IF" you can get them to perform, they can't be serviced on the road easily...

They require taking the carb off the bike to even check the float bowl or change a main... Flawed design.... I hate them with a passion.... CV's have been a large thorn in my a$$ always...

Yes, what is so wrong with the stock CV? The basic design has been used for 50 years or more.
