Default Hard to start

My 99 883c is very hard to start hot or cold. I have changed jets and cleaned and idk what else it could be. Most if the time it starts when the battery gets weak and the engine is turning over slowly. I've tried full choke half choke no choke and different throttle positions and no luck...

Have you checked your plugs?

Sounds like lack of maintenance.

Nothing to do with the choke. It should never turn over slowly. Don't you use a Battery Tender to keep up the battery?

Buy the service and parts manuals. Check spark, fuel and battery voltage.

Yeah, plugs first. Mine will run great for ages, but if it starts carb farting when cold then I know to change the plugs. I went out on it the other day and it ran great, parked up for 30 minutes and it wouldn't start. Checked for spark at the plugs (plugs out) and they seemed O.K. but it still wouldn't start. New plugs, perfect! Check your plugs.

And the wires, these go bad real quick.

I ride it every day so the battery stays charged but sometimes it's only till the battery gets weak from cranking that it starts. And yes ic could be poor maintenance but I just got this bike about a month ago. I will try plugs and wires first thanks for the help.
