I have to do a frame swap and found a 2001 clean frame so I'm wondering if it will take my 94 883 motor and forks etc? Thanks - Nate

 

Yes, rear axle might be different size but everything else should fit.

 

Thanks I just grabbed a clean 2000 883 frame with title so here goes swap

 

You might want to check the swingarm bearings. Follow manual for tq specs on as many fasteners as you can. Double check everything after a shake down ride. Locktite is your friend. Make sure oil lines don't get pinched. Good luck !

 

What have I done! Haha my frames are now both stripped and side by side. The rear end is hooked up to the new frame engine is next then front fork...how does the front fork come off the frame? Will that huge bolt going down through the neck of the frame release the whole front fork?

 

 

Already see that the rear upper shock bolts won't work from my 94 frame in the 2000 frame there are also some missing brackets on the 2000 frame maybe due to different ignition ?
