Default Won't turn over!!!

2001 1200 custom for some reason won't start! Took a ride on my bike shut it off and tried to start it again turned over about once and nothing.With the switch on acc light on for speedo turn to ignition no lights no nothing won't start no lights horn anything!!! The battery tests at about 12.6 volts.Anyone have any ideas? Thank you

Check all your battery connections (at the terminal and case). Something is loose.

Do the first two things first. Don't forget the ground. Then check the ignition itself. Did you get it wet?

+1 on what ^^^^ they said, and when checking the wires, also check them to make sure the solder portion of the connection to the end of the wires haven't corroded/broke allowing intermittent starting ability.

I would defiantly check all the above as well as the ignition and all wires leading from it, kind of sounds like the bike doesn't know it has been turned on? grab both ends of plugs and press them together..

Make sure your handlebar stop switch is in the "run" position.

Let us know what you find out. That is definately representative of a break in connection somewhere....fuse...your ground or positive leads coming loose...something like that. Also, don't just visually check your connections, physically make sure they are good by (GENTLY) wiggling them. I had the ground come loose down where it bolts to the engine on my 99 and if you just looked at it, it looked fine. But when you went to check it physically, you could tell it was very loose.
