If you guys don't mind me asking how much do you guys pay for insurance? I just want to get an idea but I know everybody is different because of age, experience, driving record, etc.. I really want to get cobalt blue 1200Low sportster, I really am headed that way but college and money are holding me back a little. I am 27 years old with a good driving record no accidents but one speeding ticket like 2 years ago on my 600RR crotch rocket. Do you guys or girls think I'm looking to pay more than 100 bucks a month for full coverage if I was to get the 1200LOW? Thanks again. CHITO

DamnI would hope you wouldn't have to pay $100 a month. I'll be 40 here in a few days and i pay about $260 a year for full coverage on my bike. I haven't had a speeding ticket in over 10 years.

I pay 50 a month for full coverage. That's very high. I haven't had a chance to look for a better deal. Since I always had State Farm, I just plugged my bike into my car, etc. They don't like insuring scoots.

I am 28. I pay $207 per year for full coverage with Allstate. Allstate was a little cheaper then progressive for me. You might want to try Geico as well.

I made that same mistake. Paid for the first 6 months coverage with State Farm. Then when I switched, even my State Farm agent told me I would be better off to insure the bike elsewhere. I have a very clean driving record, am 47 years old, and married. For the 883, I pay $296 per year. But I'm sure a 1200 would be considerably more.

Engine size, age, and driving record are about the only thing most insurance companies use to calculate your premium. I'm not really sure how logical that is, given some of the crotch rockets with quite small engines. But, that's the way it is.

I have a house and four vehicles insured with State Farm, but got the same coverage from Progressive for half the cost. Even the State Farm agent said the company didn't want bikes, which was just fine by me.
