did you check the voltage at the light?? also does the light get brighter when the bike is running......usually when LED's go bad they just go dark....LED's don't draw much current so it is prolly not the wires themselves but you may have a bad ground or hot connection...did you check them at night? LED's often look dim in the day light or if you are not looking at them straight on...

Thanks for the reply. I can tell its dim as the other brake lght is noticably brighter. It stays just as dim whilst the bike is running.
I'll take the seat off tomorrow and check all the connections are ok, failing that play with the connection plugs under the fuel tank (as i've just raised the tank and put the wiring loom beneath) and run the ammeter to see what the current is.

Have you checked the grounding of the light like Charlie suggested? You say "the other" is brighter. Do you mean to say that you have more than one or are you talking about a previous setup? Current should not come in to it with LED as they draw just a little bit less than nothing at all.

Did you replace the stock lights with LEDs?

Thanks for the help so far, this is what i've concluded!
The setup is a pair of tail lamps, either side of the bike to act as indicators aswell. One is bright, the other dim. I checked the current, which is the same to both.
Of note is that the indicator LEDs work fine (on the dim lamp), but the brake LEDs are dim and there is one thats not working. So i guess the faultly LED is causing the others not to work.
I've taken the lamp off but struggling to seperate the orange plastic cover from the main body? Is it a case of buying a whole new lamp or can i get in to replace the LED circuit board?
Thanks!

I had the same problem, did change it. 360$ for one lamp!
It was damp inside it. Now its starting to appear in the other one too. Thinking it would be better to change the lot.
Dealer says it because of direct water to it when washing...
Have you found a solution?
