heres my prob need to remove the pinion gear so i can replace oil pump drive gear. do i need a special puller or should a 2 arm puller work. any help would be appericiated thanks
No puller needed... just take the nut off then slide of the pinion gear. You have to lock the pinion gear/shaft to take off the nut. I hiiiiiiiighly recommend a manual. Lots of important things need to be put back in with a tq wrench. Lots of do's and donts in the service book too.
Nut comes off then slide pinion gear and oil gear off. You need to take off and put back on correctly, your rockers, cams etc. It's not to bad of a job. I can't stress enough to have a manual. Good luck
