RE: Finished First Phase Of Mods
I am not sure, but I'm under the impression that having a detachable rack/sissy bar, complicates adding bolt on saddlebags. I got a pair of Willie & Max throw over Color Compact Slant bags. http://www.buywillieandmax.com/pd_sb900.cfmJust remove the seat, pop them on, and put the seat back. I use them as needed because I'm worried about rub damage to my rear fender. I will eventually put felt under the yoke to prevent that. They haveloop tabs on the bags and I use the bottom one with a strip of velcro (hook on one side and loop on the other from REI) to attach loosely to the bottom of my rear shocks. Holds well. Now I did notice some trouble putting on the detachable rack/sissy bar as the yoke covers the front mount and that's why I decided to keep the rack/sissy bar on all the time.
Here are a couple of pics. Notice the matching tour pack. I leave it on all the time and it holds a lot of stuff!

RE: Finished First Phase Of Mods
That looks awesome..........thanks for the additional pics..............I didn't mean for you to have to do all that in the cold& snow. I also seem to be finding out that the quick detach makes it difficult to hard mount bags and I only need them at certain times anyway. Thanks for the info.........and congrats on a great looking scoot.
