Default Exhaust baffles

So I installed Vans and Hines blackout 2 to 1 and damn are they loud. I love the look but I like my exhaust quiet. So I am looking at either V&H quiet baffles or smartpartz inserts. Then I found a write up on using both. I'm just curious on others opinions about this. Who has used either products? Or used both like I am thinking? How would restricting the exhaust with both affect the bike?

You know, I cant really say if one baffle is better than another. I researched and tried several things and ended up using a rather inexpensive 4" baffle from ebay. Seems to give me all the low end and is just loud enough. They also make an 8" which is quieter but does loose some performance. I once bought a rather expensive model which rusted and got blown out the rear in about 1 year.
EDIT: I've got a Supertrap on my Sporty.

I would try the v&h baffle! It would be the way to go... On my bike the quiet baffle from Samson on my 2-1 only lowered my HP a little! But the sound reduction was huge!

I tried a smartpartz baffle in my SE II's and they sucked!

Get some that you can wrap the fibreglass wadding around. That makes a big difference on sound and tone.

Ya im not really worried about performance, if I were to go race it I would take out the baffle. I want it as quiet as I can get. I'm a weird harly owner.

Well it turns out it doesn't matter. The quiet insert for blackout 2 to 1 isnt a separate baffle so I couldn't put the smatpartz in if I wanted to because they are basically the same thing.

So did you try the quiet baffle for the Blackout? Did it reduce the sound dramatically? I am looking to go with this exhaust, I have shortshots now, and I hate them.. WAY too loud, and I have the quiet baffles and the smartpartz baffles.

It's on the way. Should be here any day. There's a bike parts store near me that sells them for 20$. I also wrapped the baffle that came with it in fiberglass and that helped a lot.

Nice, I'm anxious to hear what the results are.

Funny, I just purchased some V&H baffles for my short shots today from ebay. I heard they help a little and give a deeper tone.
