00 Wheel On 08 1200C

If the wheel you want to fit has the sealed ball bearings you should be able to swap them between 3/4", 1" and 25mm sizes. Earlier tapered bearing wheels are not a straight swap (I think the transition year is 2000). I've swapped a Deuce softail wheel from 3/4" to 1", and installed it in my Glide. I don't think other model range wheels will swap over easily, although happy to be put right on that!

Its not just the bearings, theres a spacer between the bearings also. Ive done a ton of research and cant seem to come up with a definitive answer on what years will fit what with just bearing and spacer swaps, except for 08 and up. For the front you have a 25 mm axle, the 00 wheel has a 1 inch I believe, so you will need 25mm bearings and bearing spacer to put in it, The unknown is whether the outer diameter of the bearing will be the same. Then theres the outer spacers that center the wheel. Your old spacers may or may not work, just make sure the wheel ends up centered and the rotor ends up centered in the caliper.
Im about to find all this out, Ive got some wheels coming from ebay for my 2011 48. An 00 solid wheel for the back an 07 13 spoke mag rear wheel for the front. If the bearing outer diameters are different Ill start with the bearing manufacture to see if they have something to fit. If that doesnt work Ill take the wheels to a machinest to make something fit
And Dyna wheels will work............cant be sure on what years though.

As I said earlier, as long as the wheel has sealed bearings, any of those three sizes will fit, as they all have the same OD. I should have added that Harley makes a bearing kit for each size, which comes with everything needed and that is the easiest way of doing the swap. Check any custom wheels on their website and that will include the bearing kits.
