You've got it wrong. If you deserve it it appears mysteriously there and even admin will be caught by surprise.

Sort of, but nothing mysterious about it.
And that's all I'm saying on the subject.

OP: If they say its Mandatory then they gotta pay for it! You only need to document that the proper service is done, doesn't have to be done by the dealer.

Nah, mankind cannot live without a little mystery, don't take it away. Do you believe in Santa Claus? (You can tell me, I won't tell anybody!)

Niceville Florida $250.00 at an Indy. The local stealer wanted like a $100 more if I recall right. But I did my own. Like others said just keep a record of when you did it and the bill for the oil and filter. I also am recording any thing I find wrong so there will be a history on the bike.

The dealer near me charges $217 for the 1000 mile service with Synth 3, but since I bought my bike there the service was free. Plus, I bought new grips from them and they installed them for free when they did my free 1000 mile service. They also give me between 11-15% off all parts. Not all dealers are stealers. Some actually take care of their customers to earn repeat business.
