I'm using a removable Saddlemen sissybar/seat bag for right now, but was looking at these:

I want something small, only problem is I can't find any reviews and any Carroll brand stuff. Seems too cheap for American made leather bags, but the similar Carroll bags I have seen in the store look decent for the price.

I scoured e-bay and craigslist for a while before I found a set of HD bags for the wife's '11 1200C.

I got some used bags from a friend (throw over) I got eBay saddle bag stand off's that mount to the fender strut!

I cut the "throw over" part off the bags am bolted them to the bad stand off... They bolt on with 3 straps each! It's pretty easy to take them off but I leave them on cuz wen I go places I hate wearing a back pack!

here are the pics:

Hope that helps... its a cheep and easy way to mount saddle bags without spending tons of money.

check out my sig pic, I just bungeed a canvas bag on the back (not ideal)! When I get sissy bars put on I'll still probably carry something non-permanent; I live in a city where people like to steal anything that's not welded, glued, or guarded!

Bud, beautiful bike, I love the front end now with those bars, awesome!

My 2008 came with standard HD bags, I added the big trunk cause I need the room. I want to change the bags to standard big bike bags adding them with the sportster frames, color coordinate for near perfection of the HD sportster.

These aren't lookers for sure, but they have gotten the job done for the last few years, sturdy & waterproof.

2013 the bike is undergoing a big change, no more bags.
