I have been looking at this as well. It seems to make more sense to me to get the 883 and get the 1250 kit from NHRS, new exhaust and a few other performance items and still be under the price of a 1200. I understand that the resale is probably better on the 1200, but I am getting the bike to ride, not sell.

can get the 1200 kit for 883 for 1200 from harley shop. will run better than 1200...but i didn't buy my 883 to run with other bikes.. i bought it because it was few months old and only 6500 . ifgoing fastwas the case i would have bought a croch rocket... rather kick back and cruise..guess i am getting old.. will be 30 feb.5th
