I find it extremely funny that many in the HD world feel that if a guy is riding a sportster he is riding a girls bike, why is that? Is it because they are lighter? because most are low to the ground? Is it because at top speed they don't go as fast as their counterparts? I never really understood this, I mean it can't be that the sportster owner just Loves sportsters, Do the Honda 1500 riders think the Honda 750 riders are riding a chicks bike? or is Every bike under the 1340 a chicks bike? then what about the girls that ride 1340's does that then make them a chick bike as well? If bigger is better I guess the guys that ride Boss Hogs with 350's and 427 engines in them must feel all HD's are chick bikes.

If you stop and think for moment the guy that buys a sportster could have went out and bought a much bigger Jap bike for the same cost but instead he bought an HD, I would rather see a guy rolling down the road on any size American bike than a foreign bike especially in this economy where many are unemployed. What I find really funny is the guys that typically say it are riding a bike that is three times their size giving the appearance that they are a little kid on daddy's bike (little jab back), God forbid they drop them because they will need that Guy on that girls bike to help them pick it up!

 

i dont like the way the bigger bikes look. I like the look of a sportster so i ride a sportster. dont give a s&*t what people say

I personally love the guys that wear HD gear shirts coats helmets and the ride a jap bike. Wtf!

I never cared what others thought about MY ride. Any time my scoot was insulted like that. I'd just challenge them to run for "pinks". That would shut them up. Then I reminded them that more girls ride big twins than Sportsters, doesn't that make a big twin a girls bike? I got quite a few of them like that, even had all there "good buddies" laughing at them too.

 

thought the "queens of the road" was where you posted about sportsters...or is that for gay bikers?

just kidding guys. i don't care what you ride...see some high mileage sportsters on the road. i think most sportster riders are pretty hard core bikers...no windshield, no saddlebags, no radio, no cruise control. these are guys that just enjoy being in the wind. i wave at all bikers.
