Default Tail light wires

I have a 96 1200 and I want to run a side mount tail light that has 2 wires but the original haves 3? Any suggestions?

Are you going to leave the brake tail light were it is.

Just find the tail light wire and run it to your new light, and tape the break light wire off.
The red wire with yellow tracer should be the brake light.

If I taped the brake wire I would not have a brake light. Right?

Leave the brake light wire where you can get at it,in case you have to hook it
up for saftey inspection.

Hey, Yuckieboy, I have a question. What are you using for a brake light and how are you supplying power to it?
