For a while now you've been able to get 4.5 tanks and even 3.3 EFI tanks but no one(that I'm aware of) made a 2.2 tank. Sucks because if you wanted a "48" or "72" tank you usually had to shell out ~$400 to get one. Sucks even more if your intention was to do nothing more than to sand off the stock paint for something different. Looks like you won't have to do that anymore. Was browsing Ebay and saw a bare metal 2.2 is now available for $170.

Nice find! Kinda sketchy the last pic was photo shopped to show the fuel pump cutout. With I could find a 2 gal for my 06 carb model......

 

Crap somebody bought it already. I hope they intend to keep these in stock. I've been wanting a spare tank to send to Chemical Candy to get done, this may be an option.

I've found, on a well known German aftermarket e-store, an aluminum adapter plate, that transforms the late model EFI tanks into a 04-06 model tank, but the plate itself along with a spare gasket costs almost twice the price of the tank shown above...
