Default Black ape hangers on a chrome front???

Hey all,

I'm new to the forum, and so far learned a lot from this site. Glad to join. Anyways, I've been on a project on my bike and decided I cannot steer away from ape hangers. My two choices are the Santee Bonanzas or Road 6 Customs. My issue here is whether to get black or chrome. Some say the bars should match the forks (from a frontal view) or the pipes, but others say black takes the frame upwards and creates a fine line of black layer on top ending in a chrome bottom. I like them evenly but need some opinions to decide. Here's two pics of my options, two pics of bikes with black bars, and lastly I've got a pic of my bike. Any opinion would be appreciated!

Welcome to the Forum from NW Mississippi!

Chrome or Black, matter of your personal preference.

I like the black, but it's your bike.

I have the black on mine and like them, the idea is that I will eventually change the triple tree and down tubes to black. This is on a Streetbob.

Thanks fellas, I agree that it would compliment the all black paint. And Kevin, I also installed the DK Customs tank lifts from you guys last week. I love them! I think they made a huge difference and I feel like I'm "on" the bike rather than "on top". The rear was kind of a pain in the *** to get on though lol

On your bike the way it sits? Chrome.
When you go to black out more of the front end, you could powder coat them black with the other parts being coated.

Cool!

Yeah the Deluxe option is simple in theory...but there is not a lot of room to work in, making it a real PITA to install.

Maybe black if your lower legs were black, but with those polished trees I'd stick with chrome.
