Default DK Customs air cleaner Installed (video)

I originally posted this over in engine technical, but it didnt get much traffic.

Since its a Sportster intake....might as well show you sporty guys!

This is DK Custom Outlaw HiFlow 587 air cleaner installed on my Iron 883 Sportster.

I have to give a big shout out to Kevin at DK Custom. When I bought the air cleaner he said, if I have any questions feel free to call. Well I called him on Saturday morning and sure enough he answered and we talked through a couple little questions I had. Great service by DK Custom. I highly recommend them.

I love the look of and the sound of this air cleaner. Next on my list is the XiED's and V&H Pipes. But probably after winter.

Here are some pics installed:

Looks good, I have the exact same filter.

I just wish there was a better filter sock (for the wet days) The one that's made for that filter is too narrow and doesn't fit all that good.

Hmm idk. I dont have the rain sock. I probably wont do much riding in the rain. But from the pictures on DK's website it looks like the sock covers the whole thing nicely.

Glad to be of service. When I order my XiED's from you, I will also make a short install video. even though those are super easy, I feel like if its easy enough to make a quick install it can save someone else time and effort

It's really great. Very low profile so you shouldn't have a problem with it being in the way.

hooah! glad it is able to help!

Also as an update to this product, I rode the bike a lot this weekend to take advantage of the great weather I had. And boy, this air cleaner really makes the 883 motor sound great. Especially in the top end of the gear. I love it! I cant wait to get my v&h pipes and XiED to see how the bike really opens up after that.
