My bike is coming up on 22 years old next week, and that is something I've been dreading. It does not look that hard, just tedious. Hopefully, someone here has done it and can give some tips and guidance. Look forward to your posts on this project.

I just got under the bike again and looks like there is a leak coming from the oil pump and along the whole right engine seal. I dont know the proper terms. This is my first Harley a damn it sure does LEAK a lot!

I think the technical term is "crap" or "****."

Oil has a way of spreading around. Clean it all off really well so you can isolate where it is coming from first.

It always amazes me how oil can migrate far from where it originally started. After owning VW's for years, some oil leaks I never solved.

Yep, it can be fixed, just a matter of parts, time and work.

Until you get a manual, this link below will help you identify parts on your bike.
