With the 3 bikes that I have, plus the 2 bikes my in-laws keep at my house during the winter, and the generator I have, all are connected to battery tenders during the winter months (except the generator which is mostly year-round). All are Schumacher's which I purchased at WalMart for under $20.00 each. There are many brands out there - some offering a couple more features than others. But when it comes to tenders, all you really need is a name brand with basic features. Shop around for name brands and purchase one that's on sale.
