Cool electrical problem 2009 nightster

hi guys, i've got a 2009 nightster with 22,000 miles on the clock. not much of any problems in those miles till now! i start the bike , it'll run for 30 seconds and shut down, i give the fuel pump i second to reload and start the bike again, and it will for a minute and shut down. i thought bad gas so i rode it a ways. it ran ok. the next morning i started the bike and the headlight was low light then regular light, and the bike was dieing like the day before, so i said oh an electrical problem? i checked the battery cables they seem clean and tight! any suggestions? cheers from montana!

You could do with using a multi-meter, to check battery condition and your charging circuit. My money is on your battery being low, which will either be because it has reached the end of its natural life, or it isn't being charged properly.

Other than the battery cables you should check your fuses and 2 big black relays in the fuse box for corrosion, also have you checked for any codes?
