I second the windshield for long trips. Makes a hell of a lot of difference. Just dont run it in town.

sweet bike.
if you ever ride around 8 pm what I call bug hour you might hang onto the windshield, esp if you ever want to take a long trip.
anyway the 48's under bar mirrors look good imo but i like these for under bar mirrors
they look great and clean up the bars

I take it you're not planning on going on any long runs that may involve some freeway riding. Otherwise, I would save the windshield. It looks like a quick disconnect so it wouldn't hurt to hang onto it until you see what it will be like on a long freeway ride. I go on a lot of day or two day runs and at some point or another there will be some amount of freeway driving and it sure saves me on the force of the wind trying to push me off the back of the bike.

I do know what you mean as far as forward controls go. I have a 1200C Custom which has forward controls. Can't stand mid controls at all.

Enjoy the ride and be safe.

won't let me see the pics

Really appreciate the input everyone!

I'll definitely take into consideration the input. I've been riding for about 8 years and never had crash bars or a windshield, so I'm used to not having one. I don't do many super long trips, maybe couple hundred miles. We will see though.
