How long are your rear shocks? It is hard to see the wheel to fender gap in the pic. If it is leaning really far over, you can either get shorter rear shocks or get a longer kickstand. Or carry a hunk of 2x4 with you to put under the stand.
It's the custom, so it comes with the short rear shocks. I have a little flux core welder that I got at Harbor Freight and had used for tabs on a hardtail I did early this year, maybe I could cut a section out of the middle of the kickstand and put an 1-1/2" piece of round stock in.I had the carb bowl off yesterday and cleaned the jets, looked clean, '96 with 8,400 miles. I can't stand how far this thing leans over. It has Vance and Hines straight pipes and when I pulled the jets they were a #45 idle and a #180 main. I ordered a #42 idle and a# 170 main and want to find some stock pipes for it. It also has the Screamin' Eagle air box kit under the ham can, stage 1 I think. I'm looking for a stock air cleaner backing plate assembly with an oem filter so I can go back to stock. There's vibration going from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd as if I shifted too early and it's chugging. Air fuel plug was drilled out also so I want to try and get it all back to stock which is what I prefer.
I would not trust those welds coming from that welder, everything from harbor freight is the biggest **** China store out of all the auto supply stores, especially on such a important part like the kick stand. In the pic it does not look like your bike is leaning that bad, if you took a picture from the back it would be more clear. I agree on checking the float level, taking off the carb is very easy, (loosen the throttle line, take off the fuel line, take the throttle cables off of the bracket near the side of the carb, take off the carb, disconnect the vacuum hose, take off the throttle lines from the "wheel" and your done) only takes about ten minutes once you get use to it. Then you can check te float level, clean the enitre carb, etc. Let me know if you want more specific instructions on how to take off the carb. Try adjusting the mixture screw where the plug has been drilled out. this screw affects idle the most and take off

I have a Chicago Electric welder. Purchased from Harbor Freight. It works absolutely great. The only thing I had to replace was the wire. And yes, I have used way more expensive welders before. In most cases the tools do not have to be expensive to do great job, just the one who uses them has to be skilled.

I have always been dreaming to get a welder, I am adding it on to my wish list
