LED lay down smoked tail light install question
I bought a nice low profile lay down smoked LED tail light. I have no idea how to install. It has 5 wires. Running light, brake light and turn signals. It did not come with instructions. Anyone else install one of these? Do I need a load equalizer? I'm not good with the electronics.
Thanks in advance!

There's one wire each for ground, tail light, stop light, left turn signal and right turn signal.
The ground is usually a dark color, black or brown. Hook up the ground to the negative side of a battery and then, in turn, connect the others to the positive end and make a note of which color wire turns on which light.
It is then only a matter of connecting the wires to the wiring of your existing lights. You can join all ground wires together.
If you're lucky, load resistors for the turn signals are already included in the light assembly. If not, you may have to buy a pair of load resistors on Ebay. Load resistors are not required for the tail and stop lights.

Basically, you cut off the wires to your existing lights and remove the old lights. You then install the new light and connect the ends of the wires you cut off to the wires of your new light.
There's two wires each from the turn signals and three wires from the tail/stop light. One wire from each light is ground - you can pick any one f those and hook it up to the ground of your new light.
You may need someone with a workshop manual for your model year to post the colors for the wires so that you can hook them up correctly.
You can either splice the wires together or, my preference, solder them together and shrink wrap the connections.

I installed an all in one led tail without knowing anything about wiring earlier in the summer. I just got all the wires exposed and ready to be sliced then turned the key to the on position and touched wires until i got what i liked. The black wire is ground, combined each black wire from each sets of wires to your ground first, then just touch the rest together.
