Anyone using Andrews Cams
I ordered a set of Andrews cams today and was wandering if any body has used them before? I ordered the N4 set for my 00 1200 sport. I all ready have a Mikuni 42 carb. How hard are they to change? The guy at the shop said that it's not that hard to do.

Andrews cams are pretty much top of the line, from what I've read. N4 are a very popular version too.
Changing them looks pretty easy, although I think you want to pull the pushrods/lifters or have the cylinders set at TDC somehow. Hopefully you don't have to open the rocker covers. You want to take any valve spring tension off the cams before you remove the cover so you can remove and replace cams with proper timing marks in exact alignment.
I'm sure others have a lot more info.

I do not see how it could be done without removing rockers, although it may be possible if you do not follow the instructions to the letter and get creative.
You do need headwork to benefit from N8. Also, get the instructions sheet from Andrews site and make sure the gears spin freely when installed into cover.

I emailed Andrews about some gear prices. They responded right away, so I'd give them a call, or email them. It's your bike, make sure you know what to do to get it perfect. Any jackass can screw it up.
