Default Black exhaust

I hate the beveled mufflers and chrome, and suggestions for a rider on a budget to black out my exhaust?

Black wrap or high temp paint. Scratch the **** up real good with sand paper, clean it up real good with soap/water or alcohol and give it several coats. You'll have to touch it up here and there but you'll be surprised how good it holds up if you do it right.

I took off my V&H from my last bike and sanded it down with coarse paper then wet sand paper, got some (dont laugh) rust-Oleum automotive engine and exhaust heat paint and painted the pipes in about 5 minutes, let them dry, applied a second coat let them dry put them back on and they looked great for over a year I just sold it a while back and they still looked nearly new.
I also took off the boards and a ton of other parts and blacked a lot out on my Kawi Drifter, the mirrors, grips, headlight, signals, etc.. I used gloss black on a lot of stuff and the flat on the pipes.
The bike looked great when I was done.
cost like 20$ I think.

Lump

ps I dont have a before pic I can find but here is a pic of the bike all blacked out by me, it was all chrome when I got it.

Depending on your "budget" you may want to consider something a little more durable than paint. I had my sweepers and mount bracket powder coated for $100.00 and it was specifically for high heat exhaust pipes. Had them back in less than a week.

Ceramic coating...probably run you a little over $100 for Sportster exhaust. Other recommendation = do it yourself w/VTH paint.
