RE: Sporty colors
AMEN... Brother!!
ORIGINAL: SportyPig
First of all....it's a very safe macho thing for a man to but a BLACK harley. It take's someone that doesn't have to prove anything to the rest of the world to buy a "color". I know a guy that has a 2003 Screamin Eagle Anniversary Deuce with the 103 cu in engine. It is a beautiful Yellow bike...and it's a BAD MF.
I've seen the Yellow Pearl, I would consider buying one. I'm not incredibly fond on yellow, but I WOULD NOT let someone making the statement that it's a 'girl's bike" keep me from buying a bike I want. Are you buying the bike for yourself, or for all the people that are standing on the sidelines????

RE: Sporty colors
Yellow is a color that can readily be matched up when necessary. I have a fire red pearl 883L. Because that color is similar to other automobiles on the street, I have been able to paint my belt guard and oil and battery covers with minimal expense and minute differences to the rest of the paint job. Unless you were told, you could not tell the difference. Local auto shops have match up paints. Yellow is one of them. Yellow is a good bike color. Bold. Colorfull. Distinct. It makes a statement that you are who you are.

Yellow:
Sunlight, joy, happiness, earth, optimism, idealism, wealth (gold), summer, hope, air, liberalism, cowardice, illness (quarantine), hazards, dishonesty, avarice, weakness, greed, femininity, gladness, sociability, friendship, Taurus, Leo (golden yellow, star signs), April, September, deceit, hazard signs, death (Middle Ages), mourning (Egypt), courage (Japan). Yellow ribbons were worn during times of warfare as a sign of hope as women waited from their men to return. During the middle ages both green and yellow were used to symbolize the devil.
