hi all the sportster lover

i just bought a 48 , and i am still wondering which pipe of v and h sounds better... cause i heard there some differences in sound between VANCE AND HINES SHORTSHOTS STAGGERED OR BIG RADIUS 2-2 pipe ?
is it true?

i am looking for heavy meant sounds ...any suggestion? and what else need to be upgrade in order to gain more power and performances..

Had both on my fatty but the 2into 1 big radius I found had a deeper more throaty sound and sounded great when letting of on throttle. Hope that helps.

 

I think he's wanting to compare a 2-into-2 vs a 2-into-1

 

I've heard big radius on a Dyna and short shots on a 48. I haven't heard what the big radius sound like on a 48, ultimately for me it comes down to the look. If you get the Fuelpak with them v&h will make sure your bike performs no matter which set you choose.

 

My buddys wife has big radius on her 1200 sportster and they sounds Exactly like my shortshots, he said even riding behind us they sound Identical.

Thats the only reason i went with the shortshots, i like the looks of the big radius, but price was a factor.

 

THANKS TO ALL COMMENT... BASED ON look and price and simplicity... i think 100 persen i go for shortshots staggered vance and hines.. and its 5juta rupiah in indonesia currency which about the same in retail web price

Bump to a thread that is almost 12 years old, but it is exactly what I'm pondering this winter. Which of these two exhausts to put on my 48?

Which one sounds better to you? Which one looks better to you? I can't decide on either one.
