Default Performance : Vance & Hines Short Shots vs all stock exhaust

I came into some Short Shots for free and I have read how horrible the performance is and they are really common. I have fixed the looks aspect of them and they won't blend in with others now. My main thing is I would want a little more power. Anyone have a comparison stock to Short Shots?

I switched from SE slip-ons to Shortshots with quiet baffles (as well as a SE stage 1 AC and Zippers Thundermax ECU) and have no complaints with performance.

Dont know about the power differences or if it would be something you could even decipher on the road, but they look good on your bike.
I would paint them, black though.

I think the only way your going to see the HP lose everyone talks about is on a dyno. If they were free I'd be running them. I just didn't want to look like everyone else if I were buying them.

I think the main issue with 2 into 2 is a loss of torque in the mid range. I know I saw a video comparing drag pipes to stock crossovers on a dyno. Not sure about the V&H pipes, however.

I'm sure if you paint them hot pink, you will not look like everyone else.

That's an easy one. None of them are performers.

Thanks Captain Obvious.

If I were to buy a pipe it would be a LSR Challenger Pro-Stock 2 into 1, got the short shots for free & my stock pipes came apart at the welds on the mounting piece.

Well then put them on, why ask here?
Look, I've got an old big CRT TV set here. It works great (it will heat up your home and you'll see it on your power bill) and you can have it for free.

They are on, just haven't got a chance to ride/tune it yet & won't be able to for a couple weeks. Just didn't know what to expect.
