Default Side stand trouble, anyone experience this?

A couple of moths ago I realized my side stand had a lot of play in it. It got worse and now when it is in the up position it bounces around quite a bit. The spring is fine, but apparently this thing was never greased. I removed the cotter pin, took the stand off and the clevis pin that runs through the stand has a lot of play now like it actually stretched the steel where it goes through the stand, and I'm worried that it wore on the frame mounts too.

Has anyone ever experienced this? Suggestions? A one-over clevis pin? I'm sure a side stand assembly costs a lot, and if the frame mounts are worn it may not do any good.

hello there there are 2 brass bushings that go on the pin , they wear out every couple of years and fall away , go too the stealer and get the replacement bushings and put em on , and use plenty of weather proof grease they will last longer .

not unless it show signs of heavy wear / grooving or such , they are pretty durable and if its still smooth use it if its all torn up replace it . but remember too lube it before you put the bushings on . lots of lube and slide it in .
