Default Stage 1 identification question

Hi All,
Just a bit of a noob question, When I bought my sportster ( used, private sale) It was advertised as stage1 with Screaming Eagle pipes.
Now, How do I actually tell that the carb has been stage 1 modified or not?

Stage 1's usually have slipons, a high flow air breather and a fuel manager to increase fuel.....The factory plastic backplate will be gone and the air filter will be more open with usually a redish or bluish filter.....and a tuner module will be attached to the ECM or its been flashed by the dealership but you wont be able to see the flash.

Are you in the real Abergavenny?! If you need an indy try Matt in Abercynon. Jolly good chap, dyno, plus everything you'll need. The chaps above have answered your query.

You really need to provide more info. What year is your bike? Is it a 1200 or 883? What SE pipes - original SE II's (no longer sold by Harley), or the "new" SE's?

I think 2005 is carbureted bike. Look on the bottom of the carb and see if the small plug covering the idle mixture screw is missing. If it's gone, someone has probably changed your jets and adjusted idle mix. If you take off the carb and remove the 4 screws holding on the float bowl, you can see what jets you have (170 main, 45 idle) is a common Stage 1 sizing.
