Default Vibrating handlebars

My hands are going numb. Is there any tips to get the vibes out of the handlebars on my 01 Hugger?
Or should I just go get my Carpal tunnel fixed?
Thanks,
Ron

Assuming your grip is correct, check motor mounts. Mine were loose allowing the engine to shake the bike more. Granted mine are solid and yours are rubber, but its a start. Good luck

An '01 is still solid mount. Are the bars visually shaking/vibrating? If so, check your top clamp bolts, riser bolts, and bushings. If not, try a set of padded grips and maybe even some gloves.

I have checked all motor mounts and all is tight.
The bars are not loose, or shaking. I have checked everywhere I can and everything is tight. I have Buck horn bars, I don't know if that matters. I can feel a pretty good BUZZZZZZ in the bars all the time. I don't know what kind of grips are on it. They feel pretty soft.
I thought about these Olympia riding gloves, can anyone recommend them?

Maybe I just need to relax a bit and just loosen up my grip?
Thanks for the replies
Ron

have you tried replacing your bushings with urethane ones? They are supposed to help.

Buckhorns seem to have the least amount of vibration IMO. Have you had a friend ride it? Or ride another bike? As a comparison. If you're uptight, your grip will be harder, yes. Relax and enjoy.

Someone on here said about putting rolls of pennies up the bars as far as the
bend, you wrap the pennies with rubber tape so they fit snug.
The next time i have my grips of i am going to give it a try.

No, it still has the stock bushings.

Thanks

Yeah, I had an repeatable independent mechanic ride it this morning. He didn't think the vibe was bad at all.
I really think I just need to relax my grip a little.
Shoot, the way things are going around here, riding season will be over in a few days. Still have Indian summer coming I hope.

Funny you should mention that. A friend such sent me this today, from an XS11 thread. It is a long read, but really interesting. The guys discussing this really don't like buck horn bars, and think Gold Wing bars are the best.
What's the matter with some of these people?
Actually I am probably going to get some kind of cruiser bars for this Sporty, but I haven't even started researching that yet.
