Break disk wear, have you had to replace your disk?
Hey all, Swapped out a tire last week and the dealer noted that the rear brake disk was too thin, is this a standard replace after 50K or something?
Anyone else had to do this?
I know if the pads go to the bottom & you wear out the disk, ok, but just through standard wear?
Seems suspicious to me, your thoughts.

There are a lot of factors that can contribute to rotor wear: how hard you brake, how much (highway vs city), pad material, temp., etc.

I know some folks use mostly the rear brake; if you, or a previous owner rode it that way, it would certainly wear a lot faster. Are your rear pads wearing out faster, too? I use both brakes most of the time, would certainly extend the disk life over just one or the other, but my rear pads always last longer than the front.
