RE: v&h sideshots ?
i have the V&H long shots i believe, the dumbass that sold it to me removed the baffles and threw them away. It is louder than hell but not in a harley way, in a chopper sounding way. Some people think it sounds real cool, but really all they are is really loud. They lost thier character when the baffles were removed, so if it makes sense, to me it sounds like a chopper when your behind it instead of a harley. I wish i still had the baffles so i could put them back in. Its cool when your bike is loud, its not so cool when your bike is so dam loud that your constantly setting off car alarms, and scaring people when you go by them then your just irritating.

I talked to V&H about the Sideshots and they said they were the best performing system they make for the Sportster (don't know for sure). The decibel level is much louder than the stock systems (listen to their site). I'm waiting till June or July to get them, which is when they said they'd be out. But I keep checking.

I have the sideshots and don't worry they will be loud enough. I love the sound.
I wanted to add that I looked for a few months before I decided. If you go to V&H website they have a sound clip. The sound sold me. No need to worry about removing anything to make them louder. I still get the grin from ear to ear when I start her up.
I think this should work this is a video I made of the sideshots. Not very good but you can get an idea of the sound.
