I am looking to order the vivid black hard saddlebags for my 1200 custom but dont want to wait over a month to get them. Has anyone else ordered these that could tell me how long it took for them to arrive? Just curious.

I have looked long and hard at these, for my Merlot SuperLow. I really should order them while they still list Merlot as an option.

From what I have read, Harley only produce colour-matched parts in small batches, so I reckon that is why you have been quoted a month. I guess they probably do plain colours like black more often than others, but if you place an order, Harley waits until they have several other orders for black parts, then does them all together. Of course yours could be the last order that triggers them starting to paint, so you may not have to wait that long. Here in the UK we get quoted 6 weeks delivery!

Quite frankly if you really would like a set, order them and be patient. However, when I last asked at my dealer they had an open day and were offering a discount on accessories. Might be worth waiting for your local dealer's next promotional day, or just asking right out!
