Default 1200S Ignition module?! Different from Service Manual

Hey yall

I recently acquired a 2001 1200S Sportster. Ive been having some issues with it, as you can read in some of the other threads, but I noticed that my ignition system components look more like that of any other 1200 Sportster than a 1200S.

This is for a 1200S: http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche....-COIL-ASSEMBLY

This is for a 1200C: http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche....-COIL-ASSEMBLY

Mine does not seem to have a cam position sensor, but it does have an ignition module.

any explanation for this? Is this something that the previous owner could have changed? I know hes been inside of the carb some, but everything else seems pretty stock. What would this indicate?
