Well it's come to the point where I need more space so me and my Gf can actually rid places and do things like pack an extra set of clothes or buy stuff and be able to get it home ... Hs sells the luggage rack for the detachable one piece sissy bar ... It's 140 what are your thoughts and reviews on this product if you have any ! Thanks

Harley actually makes several models of sissy bar racks. If you don't have the current Parts & Accessories catalog, you can download it HERE and then check out pages 76 and 77.

Unless you only plan on using a pretty small bag on the rack, I recommend going with one of the wider racks and not the "tapered" ones. That's just my 2¢, I'm more of a Function over Form person.

If you get the part number of the rack you want from the catalog, you can usually save some bucks by ordering it online. Just Google "Harley xxxxx-xx" where x is the part number.

+1

I have one of the wider racks. I think the rack itself was $100, but then there are other parts needed. Mine mostly gets used as a flag mount, and my travel bag is on passenger seat. But for long trips, I have a bag on both the seat and the luggage rack. I worry about getting the girl after I get where I'm going.

I have HD detachable sissy bar & rack. Use it daily with HD sissy bar bag/pack for work. Does a good job for me.
