my head light and tail light do not come on when i turn the key on on my 98 sportster any ideas

 

did you check fuses? grounds? breaks in the wiring? thats where i would look first.

 

Get yours a test light and check for power at each bulb. Does the headlamp work on one beam and not another, or neither one? Did they work before but not now? Have you recently done any work on the bike?
