Default EFI dyno results needed

I am in need of dyno results for EFI bikes. My dealer is having "issues" tuning my bike and is falling back on the "They're all like that...(two techs) or "those are good numbers for a Sportster (other two techs)."

The numbers were 62 hp and 63 torque. The bike in question is an XL50 with stage 1 with V&H straightshots (baffles in); SE air cleaner, SE Race Fueler. The primary issue is that the bike runs worse than ever!

Please post or send dyno sheets for your EFI bikes.

I believe your problem is with your exhaust, you lose horsepower when you take off the crossover pipe. You need the original header pipes with free flowing slip-ons to get the most power.

The V&Hs straightshots are slip-ons designed for this bike and are the same being used on other bikes that have dyno'd much higher. Hope the clarification helps.

Thanks for posting your results. Both of us are using the same dyno-jet, so it will be slightly easier to compare results. I also noted that my run was by far the coldest (46F) ambient temp of the results I have reviewed. Normally, that would help, but I have no idea how well the bike was warmed up. I look forward to sharing the updated results.

since no one on the internet will share the dyno results of a bone stock 2007 1200 sportster i will stock bike. Syn3 oil is the only thing and dyno done at 1000 mile service. I know the dyno was done in 5 gear but i was told by countless people peak power and tq would only be about 1-3% more then 4th gear run. Which would still be around 68-69 Hp and like 72-73 lbs of torque which is the same as alot of people runing stage 1 carb bikes. But carbs are "better"

According to the all seeing website (ala HD.com), an 07 XL50 has 79.1 ft. lbs. @ 4000 rpm stock.

Maybe that was the glue sniffing bike.

In any case I might expect stock bikes to pull slightly better numbers due to their lean setup. BUT.....many, to include me, will swear that their bike feels faster and more powerful since completing a stage I, whether EFI or carb'd. Well, except for my Softail but that doesn't count since I used a canned map and haven't fine tuned anything yet.

But I digress.

Oh....maybe louder mufflers make your bike slower. Sound waves create drag or something.

On a serious note, I have no dyno sheets to contribute nor would they be of any benfit. Both mine are 06's. But both run and feel really strong.

My money is on your Dyno guys not being as good as they could be at dialing things in and or the map they used for you is just wrong because if the specs on HD.com are correct, your tune-up cost you over 15 ft. lbs. Hope you saved your receipt.

Good luck.

not all dyno's will read the same! even the same brand and model accross town from each other won't read the same. what will somebody elses results mean to you from a different dyno?

dyno isa tuning tool. go to a different mechanic if they can't fix your bike to your liking.
