i dont see bolts or anything and the signals are attached thru what looks like a ball and stem and there inside the controls so how do these come out?

 

The signals are attached through a ball and stem as you described. There is a small allen screw that applies pressure onto the ball, you can see it if you face the front of your bike and just follow the stem upwards. Just unscrew it a bit and the signal should come loose.
