It only affects the models with forward controls

I want new footpegs, but spending 100 bucks on em right off the bat hasn't been a priority for me with the other changes I've wanted to do

however, I noticed this week that I'm wearing through the rubber on the shifter side from my shoe

I thought of a cool quick-fix of just cutting off the rubber and wrapping the pegs in skateboard grip-tape until I can find the pegs I want but I'm unsure of if there's a smooth metal peg underneath or not

has anyone cut the rubber or maybe just worn it all the way through?

Thanks for the help. For some reason, the H-D parts guide only shows two pegs that will work for a '12 Nightster. Looking at the mounts, they look exactly the same as the rest so I thought it might be this clevis issue. Guess we'll find out if it works in a couple of days.

I ended up ordering the Flying Knuckle pegs from DK Customs along with the quick release pins. They arrived today and I installed them. I like the looks and now have to get accustomed to the positioning.

You can get replacement footpeg rubbers from HD, here are the part no's:-

Nightster/Iron: 33133-06

Others: 33189-63 or 33216-99

As you don't say what bike you've got best to check with the dealer for your specific fitment.

Once you've fitted these you can use any footpegs you like!
this sounds like a good solution. do you know if these clevises are compatible w/ the sportster 72? thx in advance.

well sonofabitch...I decided the Biltwell Sanderson pegs were the way to go with my bike. Got em in and took a flap disc to the clevis fork for em to fit and then decided I don't like em - awkward for me having an angled footpeg with forward controls, so I reckon I'm gonna sell em now and then back to the drawing board

what's the web address for eBay?

Yeah, it totally sucks. I want these Biltwell pegs for my 48 so bad but I don't feel like the hassle is worth it right now.
